FAQs
Do you have questions? We have the answers!
Q: Should I buy or rent my Furnace?
A: While many of us cannot come up with the initial investment, the next better thing is to finance it. In addition
to the pride of ownership, you are free to do what you want with your own furnace. Your own furnace is also
a selling feature if you plan to sell your house. Rental is designed to lock in the customer with extra costs and
is difficult to get out of. One needs to ask the right questions and do the math before renting. Many
rental companies will charge you exorbitant fees for installation/removal of furnace if you want to get out.
Q: The rental company will repair my furnace for free?
A: Nothing is free. Do the math. You are paying in excess of $39 per month for something that you do not
own. Would you rather rent or own your family car? In addition, I offer 10 years of labor warranty on
my new installs. The furnace manufacturer will provide the 10 years parts warranty.
You are fully covered for the whole 10 years.
Q: Many companies are offering to buy back my old furnace. Do you?
A: I am surprised at how many people are falling for this gimmick. Your old furnace is only worth the price of
the scrap metal (about $10.00). If they give you more, its your money from the price of the new furnace. Do
not let their ad alter your decision. Use your common sense to choose the right HVAC contractor.

Q: What is Energy Star Appliance?
A: ENERGY STAR is an international symbol of energy efficiency. It helps you quickly and easily identify the
most energy efficient products available to help you save energy, money and protect the environment.

(AFUE) rate of 90% or higher.
Q: What is the future of Mid and Low Efficiency Furnace?
A: As part of Canada’s ongoing efforts to address climate change and improve the environment, a new
national minimum energy performance standard for residential gas furnaces went into effect on
December 31, 2009. This standard applies to virtually all gas furnaces sold in Canada and will require
a minimum fuel efficiency level of 90%.
Q: Why should you invest in a new heating or air conditioning system?
A: Investing in an air conditioning or heating system is by no means a small investment. However if your
existing system is old, in need of repair or is simply inefficient, then it makes sense to invest in new units.
Today’s technology can be as much as 60% more efficient than a system purchased just 10 years ago.
This investment can turn into a long term benefit. Rather than continuing to pay for ongoing maintenance
and costly monthly bills, it may make sense to invest in a new system that will save you money for years
to come.
Q: How do you determine which system is right for you?
A: Just give us a call @ 416-528 8143 and we will take care of that for you.
Q: How long will your system last?
A: With regular Maintenance and servicing performed, it is believed that an air conditioner should last 12-15
years and a gas furnace should last about 20 to 25 years.
